Xionia Labs carries out research and development in artificial intelligence for every Xionia division, from instruments for musicians to interactive experiences and the products to come on xionia.ai.
Our research is getting started with two programmes. One is on music and human creativity, and the other is Xionia Intelligence.

Both start from the person making the music, one from the experience of making it and the other from the instruments they make it with.
Research programme
When AI can generate a finished track in seconds, the experience of making music matters more, not less. This programme researches artificial intelligence that deepens it, from instruments that answer to expression and assistance that shows its work to new ways for people to play together.
Research programme
Specialist models, trained on Xionia’s own synthesis technology and run on the musician’s own computer, that understand how an instrument makes its sound and help shape the instrument rather than generating the music.
Approach
We research assistance people can inspect, adjust or switch off. The decisions that matter stay with the person using the tool.
What we learn is built once and put to work across Xionia Audio, Xionia Studios and the products to come on xionia.ai.
Research earns its place in a product when it makes real work better. We measure that, and say plainly what is ready and what isn’t.
